UK company announces world's first 'talking parking ticket'

A UK company that specialises in illegal parking deterrents has announced a new product it describes as 'talking parking ticket'.

Companies, organisations and individuals will be able to issue the ticket, which is designed to deter motorists from parking on private property without permission.

Rather than charging drivers for parking offences, the ticket issues a verbal warning of up to 30 seconds in length. These can be tailored to the offending vehicle and circumstance, allowing distributors to be as "stern or as straightforward as they see fit depending on the situation".

Product creator FlashPark mainly provides parking enforcement measures to landlords unable to self-regulate following the wheel-clamping ban. It describes the talking parking ticket as a "no-nonsense approach to tackling parking problems".

The company's head of business development Costas Constantino claimed the company was able to resolve 87.6 per cent of parking enforcement issues without resorting to the use of tickets, but that finding alternatives to wheel-clamping is "a constantly-developing formula".ADNFCR-2576-ID-801584079-ADNFCR
