Toyota to reform customer service

Fans of Toyota used cars have been reassured that the company will assess and reconsider its operations in order to improve its service.

After the recent recall of a large number of Toyota vehicles due to faulty floor mats, the Japanese automaker is hoping to improve its image and has launched a meeting of the new Special Committee for Global Quality.

The organisation aims to push forward reforms among its own company and the rest of the car industry in order to improve safety for all motorists, with an emphasis on customer service.

Toyota said that the committee "will continue to spearhead comprehensive improvements to the company’s operations, and promote the strengthening of global quality improvement activities".

Toyota recently agreed a deal with Mazda, which will see it supply hybrid technology and its next-generation SKY engine for the development of next-generation green vehicles for the market by 2013.ADNFCR-2576-ID-19700359-ADNFCR
