The Toyota GT86 will recapture "the essential joy of driving" for many motorists.

Set to be one of the most-eagerly anticipated Toyota cars of recent years, it will be available in three months' time.

The six-speed manual model will be priced at £24,995, while the automatic costs £26,495.

According to the manufacturer, it has a "classic sports car set-up", as it seeks to give off a "driver-focused character".

It comes with the signature T-mesh grille, 17-inch light alloy wheels and chrome-finished dual exhaust tailpipes.

Frank Wrathall, who competes in the British Touring Car Championship, recently test drove the machine - the first person to do so in the UK - and was full of praise for its handling and the in-car comfort it offers.

The body is available in seven different colours - ranging from dark red to metallic orange - while optional side, roof and bonnet decals are also available.ADNFCR-2576-ID-801331399-ADNFCR
