Toyota and Lexus recognised for car improvements

Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services has been recognised for the improvements made by the carmakers on the joint project.

It picked up the Most Improved Manufacturer at the 2012 Fleet World Honours and this could see the popularity of Toyota cars increase.

Ewan Shepherd, general manager of Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services, noted a number of exciting models are set to hit the market in the coming year in the shape of the Toyota Yaris Hybrid, Prius+, Prius Plug-in and Lexus GS.

"We have experienced a cracking start to 2012 and this award confirms that the hard work and dedication of the team is reaping rewards," he added.

Steve Moody, chair of the judging panel and editor at Fleet World, praised the online consumer portals that have been created by the firm.
