SsangYong have announced their latest people carrier, the Turismo, is to be released next year.

The Turismo has been designed with families in mind, and can comfortably fit seven adults in a unconventional 2-2-3 layout of seats, and still with plenty of room for a picnic.

The 2.2 litre Diesel also offers great leisure and business amenities, combining multi-role flexibility and luxury equipment. The SE and Ex versions both feature rear-wheel drive, while the top of the range ELX model comes with four-wheel drive and an impressive 2 tonne towing capability.

A basic manual SE model is available for £18,995 while the premium edition - with a Mercedes-Benz seven-speed automatic gearbox - can be yours for a pinch under £25,000. The medium spec EX model is available in both manual and automatic.

The Turismo’s ride is of saloon quality with double wishbone front suspension and independent rear suspension providing a quiet and comfortable ride in all conditions.

Having already improved on space, the Turismo has also pushed the power and economy up, whilst cutting down on CO2 emissions and has been described by SsangYong CEO Paul Williams as; “clearly amazing value…with the power upgrade Turismo delivers even greater levels of refinement and value.”

All models are still built to tackle to elements, in a blend of hardy ruggedness and first-class comfort. The design is seamless and transparent to give customers peace of mind, and is backed up by five-year cover from the drivetrain to the audio system.
