'Same 407 Peugeot cars, better performance'

The new Peugeot 407 Coupe models offer improved performance while retaining their distinctiveness.

Peugeot claims to have maintained the same styling that can be found in former 407 Peugeot cars, but the manufacturer's engineers have also made some important tweaks under the bonnet.

The 407 Coupe was first introduced into the UK market in 2006 and has been designed for comfort over long distance journeys.

Engines in both the 3.0-litre V6 HDi and the 2.0-litre HDi versions have been enhanced with more power, while CO2 outputs have been reduced.

Both take full advantage of the 407's six-speed gearbox, with the 3.0-litre offering 241bhp and the 2.0-litre producing 163bhp.

Drivers can also enjoy better rear vision with enlarged door mirrors and may even spot the subtle enhancements to the car's bodywork, which includes a new chrome trim across the upper section of the windows.

The new 407 updates follow the launch of another new Peugeot car - the restyled 207 CC.
