The new C-Class Coupe is now available to order – priced from £30,995 – ahead of first UK deliveries in December.

Boasting four engine options and two model specifications, the new coupe has been given an expanded version of the existing C-Class saloon and estate range.

The line-up begins with the C200 petrol, which produces 184hp. It can be mated to either a six-speed manual or 7G-Tronic gearbox – whilst the new C300 packs 245bhp but is only available with the 7G-Tronic.

Two diesel variants are also offered. The C220d, producing 170hp, can be specified with either the six-speed manual or a 9G-Tronic transmission. The C250d, however, produces 204hp and only comes with the 9G-Tronic.

There are two model lines available: Sport and AMG Line. Standard equipment includes LED head and tail-lights; Active Park Assist; PARKTRONIC parking sensors; a reversing camera and heated sports seats. The C300, interestingly, is specified with a sports exhaust system as standard, complete with a changeable sound option.

The Sport variant is equipped with a gloss black cabin and 17-inch alloys. Meanwhile, the AMG Line contains wood trim, an AMG sports steering wheel and body-styling kit and 18-inch alloys. Confirming its sporting credentials, it has sports suspension, lowering the car by 15mm.

Sitting at the top of the range is the AMG C63. Starting at £61,160, it boasts a 4.0-Litre bi-turbo V8, producing 476hp and 650Nm. This makes it good for 0-62mph in 4.0secs. The £66,910 C63 S produces 510hp, with a 0-62mph time taken down to 3.9secs.
