Peugeot sales increase in January

Peugeot experienced an increase in sales in January, despite stagnation in the sale of new cars in the UK.

The car manufacturer claimed that its best-selling model the 107 was responsible for much of the rise, with retail sales up 3.2 per cent and fleet sales seeing a boost of 8.8 per cent.

Overall, sales of Peugeot cars increased by 6.4 per cent in January.

The boost in sales follows the Drive Away Happy promotion which started in January, which aims to take the hassle out of car costs by including insurance, servicing and warranty, road tax and roadside assistance in one monthly amount.

In the next six months, Peugeot will be launching a host of new cars, including the award-winning 3008 HYbrid4 and a restyled version of the 107.

The new 508 RXH will also take advantage of hybrid technology.

In statistics compiled by the Clean Green Cars show, Peugeot cars were ranked in the top nine most carbon-conscious.ADNFCR-2576-ID-801287606-ADNFCR
