Nissan's Sunderland plant has announced it will host a specialist recruitment day this Saturday (June 23rd), as it gears up for one of the busiest periods of its history.

The 26-year-old facility - which is set to hire around 200 members of staff - has commenced preparations for the introduction of four new models, including the 100 per cent electric Nissan LEAF car.

In addition, the north-east location will also create the next generation Qashqai, the new B-segment car based on the Invitation concept, as well as the new C-segment hatchback.

Joining the Nissan Juke at the Sunderland plant, the exciting cars are part of a £921 million investment from the Japanese manufacturer, while its Juke Nismo - unveiled last week - will take its predecessor's legendary performance from racetrack to road in 2013.

Kevin Fitzpatrick, Nissan's vice-president for manufacturing in the UK, said: " I would encourage anyone interested in furthering their career at the UK's biggest car plant to attend this Specialist Recruitment Day or to visit our website."ADNFCR-2576-ID-801388091-ADNFCR
