Nissan has announced the full price and specification for its NP300 Navara pick-up.

Buyers of the new Navara can choose from either a twin-turbo or single-turbo 2.3-litre diesel engine, and can specify either two or four-wheel drive. Not only this, but a choice of a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox can also be had.

Included in the standard equipment are a variety of airbags, an electronic limited slip differential, hill start assist and also Hill Descent Control.

The base specification, called the Visia, incorporates air conditioning; Bluetooth connectivity and steering wheel mounted audio controls.

Moving up to the Acenta trim level, 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome exterior trim are added, along with a 5-inch high-definition touch screen. There’s also cruise control, daytime running lights with a chrome surround and automatic headlights. The base level Acenta trim has a host of included equipment that will keep even the most button-happy driver content.

Acenta plus includes the larger twin-turbo engine, 18-inch alloy wheels and a rear colour reversing camera which is displayed in the rear view mirror.

At the top of the range is the Tekna, which adds a seven-inch touch screen with satellite navigation and live traffic updates.

All models come with a five-year or 100,000 mile manufacturer warranty as standard.

The base Visia model comes in at £21,995, with the top of the range Tekna double cab, with four-wheel drive, retailing at £29,095.

Nissan is hoping that the new Navara will bring the brand back to the top of the pick-up segment, after a quiet period.
