Mercedes cars could see a boost in sales at car dealerships over the coming months, it has been suggested.

Mercedes-Benz E and S-Class ranges will be among the cars on show at the event, alongside Jaguar and BMW models.

Mercedes recently unveiled a new electric-powered super sports car, the SLS AMG, which offers a zero-emissions high-tech driving system.

The car is capable of achieving acceleration of zero to 100km per hour in around four seconds, care of a 6.3-litre V8 engine that develops 571BHP.

Commenting on the new car, chief executive officer at Mercedes-AMG explained that the company attaches "as much importance to excitement and classic AMG performance".

The motor show also comes a month after Mercedes-Benz unveiled its new CLS Grand Edition, which the manufacturer claims takes "style and performance" to a new level.
