The team of technicians behind Mercedes-Benz cars will be competing against engineers from across the world in a technology competition.

Mercedes-Benz International TechMaster 2010 Competition will take place in Stuttgart between November 17th and the 18th.

The UK will be represented by individuals from Mercedes-Benz Brentford, winners of the British TechMaster competition.

Teams will be judged in three areas - a practical examination, a knowledge test and a skills circle that focuses on workshop routine.

Mercedes-Benz designed the competition to improve overall service standards for people who buy and drive their cars.

"Our winning team completed a whole host of arduous tasks to prove that not only are they the best Mercedes-Benz technicians in the country but that they also stand a very good chance of being voted the best in the world too," said Tom Kirkham, service marketing executive, Mercedes-Benz UK.
