Lexus has offered customers a first glimpse of its new concept car.

The car manufacturer has published sketches of the new vehicle, which is set to be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) next month.

Lexus expects the new car to "raise the bar" in the premium compact sector with a mix of technical innovation and "ground-breaking design".

The 63rd International Motor Show in Frankfurt is set to take place between September 15th and 27th, featuring the latest in passenger cars, motorcycles and caravans.

Lexus will be holding a press conference to introduce the new vehicle on the opening day during the afternoon of the event, for any keen-eyed customers determined to catch a first glimpse of the new vehicle.

The car manufacturer has introduced a number of new technologies across its car range over the last few months.

In June, Lexus unveiled the new RX 450h, which features rear and side parking monitors to assist drivers during parking manoeuvres.

Meanwhile, during the same month, Lexus also announced that a heads-up display would be added to its new RX 450h to reduce motorist distractions while driving.
