Jaguar E-type celebrates design anniversary

The 50th anniversary of the Jaguar Lightweight E-Type is being commemorated with a sculpture, incorporating metal from an award-winning car.

Unveiled at the Royal Automobile Club, the artwork resembles the Lindner Nocker and is being auction to raise money for the Henry Surtees Foundation.

A small amount of metal from the famous vehicle has been used to create the design, which was thought up by Claudio Barbato, a third year design student from Bedford.

Mr Barbato said: "The E-type is a car that I’ve admired my whole life so to have my design chosen was a big honour."
Five of the beautiful sculptures, entitled E-Motion, are to be produced, made largely from aluminium and mounted on polished black granite.

Each piece has been priced at £9,950 and will go towards the charitable cause, assisting people who have suffered accidental brain damage and physical injuries.ADNFCR-2576-ID-801234238-ADNFCR
