Fans of vintage used cars have been invited to review the entrants for this year's Classic Car of the Year award.

Handed out as a joint award from leading publications Classic Cars, Classic Car Weekly, and Practical Classics, the award will be given to one of 20 vehicles shortlisted by the magazine editors.

Selected models include a 1965 Peugeot 404 that came second in the East African Safari Rally that year, a 1953 Bristol 401 which took 22 years to restore and a rare 1975 Jensen Interceptor with walnut dash - a car that recently starred in Channel 4 drama series Red Riding.

Fans of vintage used cars are now invited to browse through the list of 20 vehicles and choose their favourites. The top 20 will then become a final five that will all appear at the Footman James Classic Motor Show in Birmingham in November.

This event will also feature a special appearance by the first gas-powered car, the 1950 Rover JET 1.
