People driving Chrysler used cars may be interested to note that the American manufacturer has unveiled four new all-electric minivan concepts to the US Postal Service.

Chrysler intends to apply to the US Department of Energy's Transportation Electrification stimulus programme for a federal grant, allowing it to establish a nationwide demonstration fleet of zero-emission vehicles that could be used by the postal service to deliver the mail.

Frank Klegon, executive vice-president of product development at Chrysler, said that the electric minivan concepts demonstrate the brand's innovation with eco-friendly technologies.

"With more than a 40 per cent market share, our Chrysler and Dodge minivans continue to lead the segment we created more than 25 years ago," he went on to say.

In January, Chrysler announced a new model line-up of its popular 300C range, which will offer four derivatives, three of which come with an automatic gearbox and 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine.ADNFCR-2576-ID-19684755-ADNFCR
