One of the smallest Volkswagen cars is to benefit from a special discount until the end of March.

The Polo supermini has had £500 cut from the ticket price at Volkswagen dealer across the country, the German manufacturer has confirmed.

This means that for the entry-level Polo S 1.2-litre model, buyers will be required to pay £9,495 for the vehicle.

Volkswagen has also revealed that with its new Solutions PCP finance package, drivers taking away the supermini from a dealership will pay just £99 per month for the car.

Motorists who choose to fund their vehicle in a different way can take advantage of the servicing package with a one-off payment of £299, the German company confirms.

Volkswagen is also in the process of launching its Amarok pick-up in the UK, and will be taking the machine to dealerships around the country to promote the vehicle's release to UK customers.
