VAT freeze on Subaru cars to run until end of March

Drivers looking at Subaru cars for their next vehicle purchase have been advised that the firm's VAT freeze offer will expire shortly.

The government pushed VAT from 17.5 per cent to 20 per cent in January, but the Japanese manufacturer did not add this rise on to the cost of Subaru cars.

Anyone buying a Subaru Legacy, Outback, Forester or WRX STI model is still able to get the vehicle with VAT at 2010 levels.

However, the firm has warned that this offer, which can result in typical savings of £600, will end on March 31st.

In addition, up until the end of the month Subaru is giving away £500 worth of accessories with every purchase of a Legacy, Outback and Forester.

Subaru recently unveiled its latest concept project at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Boxer Car Architecture will eventually form the basis for the future design of all Subaru cars, the manufacturer confirmed.
