United Autosports' Audi cars finish well

The Audi cars driving for the United Autosports team finished their debut season in the FIA GT3 European Championship with two respectable results.

Both Audi cars finished with top-ten places on the historic track at Heusden-Zolder near Brussels, the culmination of a year of hard work.

It has been very difficult for United Autosports to compete effectively in their first year, as it is for any new team.

But the group's managing director Richard Dean feels that there has been strong improvement throughout the team as the season has gone on, vowing to come back bigger and better next year.

"The biggest thing I've learnt this year is that the FIA GT3 series is very, very tough and not to pre-judge our competitiveness before the first official qualifying session of the year – otherwise you can only be disappointed," he said.

Leeds-based United Autosports recently announced they would also be racing in the British GT3 series in 2011.
