Toyota named world's most valuable automotive brand

Toyota has picked up the title of the world's most valuable automotive brand for the ninth year in a row.

The Best Global Brands report 2012, which was compiled by Interbrand, saw the car maker emerge ahead of the competition as its overall brand valuation has improved by nine per cent to over $30 billion (£18.6 billion) in 2012.

Excellent customer service and an impressive line-up of environmentally-friendly products are the two main reasons that Toyota cars continue to be popular with people.

However, Interbrand added a concerted attempt has also been made to appeal to younger drivers.

It completes a successful couple of months for the manufacturer, as it was named as the Best Global Green Brand for the second year running in June as the firm focuses on improving its green credentials.

In terms of global branding, Toyota came in tenth, while this main list was topped by Coca Cola.ADNFCR-2576-ID-801462526-ADNFCR
