Young individuals who have completed a Toyota and Lexus training course have been rewarded as part of the manufacturer's Apprentice of the Year awards ceremony.

Men and women who took part in the programme enjoyed a graduation day that combined the formalities of a presentation with a series of fun activities to engage with.

The 28-strong group were joined by their families and loved ones for the occasion, which was organised by the Toyota and Lexus Academy in Nottingham - the brand's central training facility in the UK.

Francesco Mereu, the company's human resources director, presented certificates to the graduating apprentices that confirmed their status as fully-qualified services technicians, body and paint technicians and body and paint advisors.

Guests were also invited to put their driving skills to the test as part of a challenge that placed them at the wheel of a Toyota Aygo, with a benchmark score set by Top Gear's The Stig. ADNFCR-2576-ID-801388168-ADNFCR
