Refreshed Honda CR-V pricing announced

Honda has announced prices for its facelifted CR-V SUV. The new range, which arrives in UK showrooms in March, starts from £22,340 and rises to £35,620.

Unusually, this makes the entry-level model – a 2.0-litre i-VTEC S – the same price as the outgoing model. The CR-V will rival popular compact off-roaders such as the Mazda CX-5 and Volkswagen Tiguan.

The refreshed CR-V sees the introduction of a new 1.6-litre diesel engine. It develops 158bhp and is likely to broaden the appeal of the crossover to UK buyers, with combined fuel economy of 57.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 129g/km. A lower-powered, 118bhp version of this motor is also available.

The CR-V is offered in both front and four-wheel-drive guises, and with a choice of manual or nine-speed automatic gearboxes.

Four trim levels are available. Entry-level S models are equipped with 17-inch alloys, daytime running lights, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, USB connectivity, heated electric door mirrors and hill-start assist.

SE models command a £2,170 premium and feature automatic lights and wipers, leather trimmed steering wheel and gearstick, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and Honda’s ‘Connect’ infotainment system.

SR models further add sat nav, leather and Alcantara upholstery, an upgraded stereo, tinted windows, 18-inch alloys and Bi-xenon headlights. Top-of-the-range EX versions complete the kit list with keyless entry, electric driver’s seat, panoramic glass sunroof and a powered tailgate.

The refreshed Honda CR-V is available to order now.
