Peugeot is helping drivers to cut down costs in this year with a new gear change indicator and other technologies.

This tool will enable drivers to see when they need to change up a gear to enjoy maximum efficiency, and helps motorists to decrease their fuel consumption in 2011.

Peugeot has also notified road users of its other pieces of equipment that help to promote fuel-efficiency among Brits. Many of these are included within the Peugeot 207 99g Economique.

The car can run 85 miles per each gallon of petrol due to the manufacturer's HDi 90 engine, which features tailored management software that helps to provide an environmentally-friendly driving experience.

Earlier this month, NextGreenCar.com claimed that electric and hybrid vehicles will become a more important part of Britain's motoring market.

The company added that diesel hybrids could soon make a mark on the industry, as more drivers consider their carbon emissions.ADNFCR-2576-ID-800329800-ADNFCR
