Peugeot has announced that the 508 range is set to benefit from enhanced feature specifications in future models, affecting both the 4-door saloon and 5-door SW body types.

Among the improvements are Bluetooth connectivity in the 508 Access model and front parking aid sensors in the Allure and GT. The Allure will also benefit from Xenon directional headlights with Peugeot Smartbeam Assistance and LED daytime running lights.

The 508 Active has been renamed the Active Navigation, now incorporating Peugeot Connect technology including navigation, SOS and assistance functionality. The new specification is intended to cover the "requirements of business and private customers alike".

A number of cosmetic enhancements will also be made, including a new GT-style front grille.

Peugeot reported that the SR would be dropped from the 508 range and the flagship high-specification RXH would remain unchanged.

Launched in 2011, the carmaker said the 508's popularity - particularly with fleet customers - was based on quality, durability and "class-leading environmental credentials" that comply with strict standards for CO2 emissions.ADNFCR-2576-ID-801590049-ADNFCR
