Oklahoma pensioner in Bond-style parking maneouvre

A US pensioner may be on the look-out for a used Mercedes to replace his old vehicle, which he managed to reverse through the wall of a multi-storey car park in Oklahoma.

The Tulsa pensioner found himself in a fix when he got his foot stuck behind the accelerator and brake pedal mid-manoeuvre.

This left his the back end of his Mercedes C-class dangling precariously out of the building's seventh-floor, no doubt causing onlookers significant concern.

Speaking to radio station KRMG, Tulsa Police Department corporal David Crow said: "At about 15:50 (local time) this afternoon we had a report of a car hitting the side of a building.

"We didn't know what that meant but when we got here we saw this Mercedes backed halfway out of a parking spot on the seventh floor of this parking garage."

However, he admitted that the situation could have been much worse had someone been walking on the street below when bricks were dislodged from the wall.ADNFCR-2576-ID-19754681-ADNFCR
