Nissan has updated its 370Z sports car range, including the Nismo model, which boasts an extra 15bhp and an even more focused driving experience.

The 2015 model year 370Z gains improved refinement, new, more comfortable seats and extra equipment over the previous version. It comes fitted with 18-inch gunmetal coloured wheels, while the seats have been updated to offer improved support around corners and a more comfortable driving position. They are also both lighter and stronger than the seats in previous models.

A revised suspension setup gives the car a smoother ride and cabin noise has also been reduced. One thing that thankfully hasn’t been changed, is the lusty 324bhp 3.7-litre V6 engine, which powers the rear wheels through either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox. The 370Z remains the only car in its class to have ‘Synchro Rev Control’ that matches the engine speed with the wheel speed automatically when changing gear.

The 339bhp 370Z Nismo has also been extensively updated to make it the sportiest, most focused 370Z to date, capable of blasting its way from a standstill to 62mph in just 5.2 seconds. This car incorporates features developed for the GT-R Nismo hypercar and gains a bolder, more powerful look, with larger air intakes to cool the oversized engine, redesigned sills, door mirrors and new black and silver 19-inch alloy wheels. A new front bumper and smaller rear spoiler increase downforce for better stability at speed.

The Nismo also features updated Recaro sports seats which now offer improved comfort and support when making the most of the car’s newfound grip. The engine provides strong punch from low engine speeds with the dual exhaust system producing a suitably sporting soundtrack. The Nismo is available with a six-speed manual gearbox only. As with the standard car, suspension has been updated to improved ride comfort.

The updated Nissan 370Z goes on sale in Europe from September 2014. Prices and specifications will be confirmed closer to the launch.
