More used Audi cars could soon be picked up by drivers in India as the company moves to grow its market share in the Asian country.

According to oneIndia, Audi has already grown 70 per cent in recent times, helping to boost the automotive industry in India by 40 per cent, but is hoping to increase its share in the sector to 25 per cent this year.

Michael Preschke, head of Audi India, said that he aims to make the brand the number one choice for consumers looking for luxury cars in the country by exceeding proposed budget spends in India.

Audi has already launched 20 models in India and hopes to add ten more to its roster.

"The wider lineup of Audi products would indicate the increasing competition in the luxury car segment," the website said.

The Audi cars in the United Autosports team recently returned from the Spa-Francochamps circuit in Belgium to their UK base to continue preparations for a 24-hour event at the end of July.
