Carmony.co.uk: One in five motorists do not try before they buy

Large numbers of Brits have bought cars without taking them for a test drive first, according to a leading used cars website.

One in five motorists in the UK don't take the car out for a drive before they part with their money, claims research from Carmony.co.uk.

The survey also found that over 75 per cent of Brits felt "out of their depth" when trying to buy a car, with intimidated buyers into acting before they think.

Recognising this, Carmony.co.uk has written a free guide designed to educate buyers on what to say and do when making the purchase of a new vehicle.

Alan Hazelhurst at Carmony.co.uk said: "We've created a free car buying guide to provide consumers with simple, easy to use, jargon-free tips to consider when choosing a car.

"We aim to take the mystery out of the whole car buying process."

A recent study by the Office of Fair Trading found that more work was required to make used car dealers aware of the law and buyers aware of their rights.ADNFCR-2576-ID-19706292-ADNFCR
