What is Carmony?
Carmony is a website that exists to help people find the right car for them. We aim to help guide you through the process of researching your next car. Whether you already have a car in mind or whether you are not quite sure - we can help. We work with a large number of used car dealers and manufacturers across the UK and we list only approved used cars, because we know you don't want to spend your hard earned cash on a banger.
Why should I register?
You don't have to register to use the site. However, those who choose to register can use the My Showroom section. This allows you to save the cars for sale that you like, save the criteria you have searched on, save any car comparisons you have made and even send your choices to friends and await their replies.
Will you share my e-mail address or details with others?
Your details are used only by Carmony in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For example we will alert you only when we have new instructions for a used car for sale - and which we think you would want to see.
These alerts will be based on your previous car search criteria, so these are as relevant as they can possibly be. We will not tell you about the latest 4x4's if your last car search was for a nippy city car, because we know this kind of message will only annoy you.
Do you approve the cars?
Any car listed on our site needs to adhere to our strict Approved Car policy. We do not approve the cars ourselves, this is performed by the dealers and manufacturers.
How do I find a dealer near me?
We recognise that finding dealers close to your home is often an important decisive factor. If you have a car in mind, you may want to use the Fast Search feature. Adding your postcode to the Fast Search will allow the Carmony team to deliver the used cars near to your location.
The Lifestyle Search also has this feature. However, Lifestyle Search is geared more to helping those without a car model in mind to find cars for sale to suit their lifestyle.
For those who have a particular dealer in mind, or simply want to see cars for sale near to their location, they should use the dealer search. Clicking on the dealer search tab at the top of the page will bring you to the ideal area. Here you can search by named location, postcode or even with a particular dealer name.
How do I contact the car seller?
Once you have found the right used car, we know that you will be more than eager to sit behind the wheel and check it out. For each car listed, you will find the contact details clearly displayed of the car seller. Within the list of the cars for sale, you will see the location and dealer details of the car, plus the contact telephone number of the dealer.
If you look at the car for sale information in greater detail, you will find all of the above information plus additional options to e-mail the dealer (and get them to chase you), along with option to book a test drive.

We are often looking for enthusiastic people to join our team, working in a variety of roles. We advertise these in a variety of places, determined by the role we are looking to fill. E-mail
I signed up but I have not received my email yet. What's happening?
You will be sent an introductory e-mail as soon as you have registered on the site. Please check to see if the 'Welcome To Carmony' email has defaulted to your 'Junk Mail' inbox.
If you do not receive the email notification, then please contact us and we will look into the reasons why and look to re-issue the introductory email.
How do I unsubscribe from e-mails?
If you no longer want to receive emails from Carmony, then go to the Unsubscribe section on our Contact Us page, submit your mail and we will remove your email address.
How do I change my e-mail address?
If you need to change your e-mail details then simply log into My Showroom and you will find a link to personal details, here you will be able to edit any of your details.
I forgot my password. How can I get it back?
You may remember that when you first signed up to Carmony we asked you to set a password reminder. We appreciate that we all have so many passwords to allow us access to so many sites, that remembering them all is tricky. If you have forgotten your password, try the password reminder first. If this still does not jog your memory we can simply reset your password and send you an e-mail with the new details.
Useful tips whilst using the site
How can I search for a car by need?
The 'Lifestyle' section, which can be found under the search cars tab or from the central panel on the homepage - is the place you need. Here you will be able to search on a variety of needs, budget, speed and colour to name three.
How can I search for a certain model type?
If you have a model type in mind, but not a manufacturer- then simply click on 'Browse by Model', this can be found under search cars button. This will provide you with a list including 'hatchbacks', MPV's and City Cars.
I have a car model in mind, how can I find it fast?
The fast search on the left hand side of the home page is the perfect place for you. This allows you to input the make and model you want to see, together with budget details, mileage and fuel requirements and your postcode.
I keep finding terms I don’t quite understand.
At Carmony, we understand that not everyone knows all of the terms and phrases used to describe a car and its specifications. For this reason, we have created a Jargon Buster page which is categorised by each letter of the alphabet.
I like the look of a particular car and want to find it easily next time I log on, how is this possible?
The best option here is to save this to 'My Showroom'. You can do this by simply registering using the button in the top right of the page. This area will then allow you to save many cars, which you can go back to at any time.
Can I compare cars side by side?
Funny you should ask, because would you believe it - you can. You will find a compare button within the details of each car in a car list. This will allow you to add up to four cars to be compared side by side. This is a great way to see which one performs best on a variety of attributes. You may also want to use this feature to look at how your next car compares to your current car.
