Peugeot celebrates 200th anniversary with food festivals

Owners of Peugeot cars are being urged to attend a series of food events hosted by the automotive manufacturer over the summer months.

The Taste Festivals will take place across May, June and July in London, Edinburgh and Birmingham, celebrating the 200th anniversary of Peugeot cars.

A Cuisine D'Amour with Peugeot Rcz demonstration theatre will be constructed at each event, where world-class chefs including Jean Christophe Novelli will offer motorists some cooking tips.

Christian Stein, marketing director at Peugeot UK, said that the food festivals are intended to chime with the Motion & Emotion strapline.

He said: "Perhaps less well known is that Peugeot also has its own unique place in culinary history as a producer of coffee grinders and salt & pepper mills during the 19th century. So, our link with taste is especially appropriate."

Earlier this week, Peugeot hosted another demonstration event at Durham University, showcasing the manufacturer's future ultra-low carbon vehicles.ADNFCR-2576-ID-19754694-ADNFCR
