New tyres introduced for Audi and Mercedes cars

Drivers of Audi and Mercedes cars can now improve the performance of their vehicle with the introduction of a new tyre.

Falken is introducing the Azenis FK453CC, which is said to provide improved stability and grip levels for certain models.

This includes the Audi Q5 and Q7, as well as the Mercedes M-Class and Lexus RX, as well as some Volvo cars.

The Azenis FK453CC is said to feature a casing construction that is more warp-resistant than comparable tyres in its segment, using a rounder tyre shoulder shape to optimise the pressure deployment on the tread.

Falken claims that this helps to deliver a 21 per cent increase in perofmrance.

Yukio Yoshida, Falken Tyre Europe's corporate planning director, says that the tyres are especially helpful when it comes to wet weather, commenting: "Three central tread grooves in the tread design allow efficient water deflection.

"In addition, the staggered sipes integrated into the first tread bar at the tyre shoulder break up the water film more effectively than conventional tread patterns."ADNFCR-2576-ID-801274979-ADNFCR
