New Ford begins production
An increase in volume production at Ford's manufacturing plant in Valencia means that the all-new Kuga Smart Utility Vehicle (SUV) will be available from £20,895 – over £1,000 less than it currently costs drivers.
The model has been very popular with motorists in the UK since it was launched, with more than 45,000 Kugas – both new and used cars – on British roads.
Roelant de Waard, vice president of marketing, sales and service at Ford of Europe, said: "The first-generation Kuga was a huge success with customers. The all-new, second-generation Kuga is a smarter, more fuel-efficient and even more fun to drive SUV."
He added that the maker has a rich history when it comes to SUV, but the new model represent's some of engineer's finest work.
As well as a number of driver aids including Active Park Assist and Blind Spot Information System, the new Kuga comes with a range of engine choices including the 150PS and 180PS 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engines and the 140PS and 163PS 2.0-litre TDCi Duratorq diesel engines.
