Lexus supercars sold in record time

Two fans of Lexus cars could not wait to get their hands on the brand's new LFA supercar - purchasing the model before the price was even announced.

The $1.248 million (£820,000) vehicle went on sale on Wednesday (March 3rd), but two units will be on their way to Singapore early thanks to a pair of eager businessmen who have long been fans of the Lexus range.

William Choo, commercial director of Borneo's Lexus division, said that one buyer has previously owned a Lexus LS limousine, while the other has also purchased multiple Lexus models in the past.

According to AsiaOne, the LFA has a 560bhp 4.8-litre V10 front mid-mounted engine with a six-speed electro-hydraulic sequential transmission powering the rear wheels and offers zero to 100kmh in 3.7 seconds.

Lexus is currently debuting its CT 200h, a five-door compact car aimed at a young demographic which features an 'emission-free' driving mode, at the Geneva Motor Show, the Independent recently reported.ADNFCR-2576-ID-19660102-ADNFCR
